October is the Month of the Rosary

Join us for Sunday Rosary this week as well as any of the rosary times which can be found on our Facebook. Feel free to join a rosary going on on campus or send leaders your intentions if you are unable to make it.

Changes in Regularly Scheduled Events:

By Popular demand, we have added an additional Women's Group time! They will now also meet on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newman Center.

Our Friday Men's Group, Fellowship of the Cross, will now be meeting at the Newman Center.
There will be no Community Night TODAY 10/18/18.

Dinner Dialogue: An Interfaith and Ecumenical Potluck

Thursday Oct. 25th at 6:30 PM

How does your Faith or belief help you in your everyday life? This is the main question we will be pondering this evening. The Catholic Student Organization will make a meatless pasta. Please bring something to share with 12 people. It's always special when someone brings a dish that is related to his or her cultural or religious background, but this is not required.

Join us for our second meeting where our monthly topic will be Emergency Response, and we will be planning our upcoming events for the year. The meeting will be TODAY Oct. 18th @ 5:30 PM at the Newman Center

Tuesday 10/16/18 was World Food Day, please join us in prayer for Global Hunger.

Learn how to initiate and shape conversations on campus about how we can love and serve our neighbors in need. The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Student Ambassador training will be offered for all Houston-area campus ministries and the training is free to attend and lunch, snacks, and materials will be provided to you. To RSVP, please email Nicole at driscond@stthom.edu

Candidates are required to have a graduate degree (by August 2019), relevant overseas experience, excellent English communication skills (writing and speaking), professional proficiency in a second language, commitment to the work of CRS, and model our agency competencies (as outlined in the Job Description). Save the Dates!

(One is a Holy Day of Obligation, so you probably already have it saved, but just in case)

There will be mass for All Saints' Day at the A.D. Bruce Chapel at noon 11/1/18. We will be placing the Book of the Dead out for people to write the names of loved ones who have passed starting Monday 10/22/18. We are looking for lectors and Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers of Communion. Please contact Claudia if you are available at claudia.uh.newman@gmail.com.

All Souls' Day Mass will be held at the Newman Center at noon 11/2/18. Starting Monday 10/22/18, we will have the Book of the Names of the Dead out for people to write the names of loved ones who have passed.
