Raphael Mary In this talk we will begin with a brief summary of the plan of Jesus Christ for human sexuality and why it is essential to true human happiness. Then we will reflect on how this plan can be concretely experienced in the lives of those with same-sex attractions, in the context of the unique cross that they bear, and of their unique call to holiness.
Pressed into Service: The Passer-by Simon of Cyrene Doris Martin Barrow, III The Gospel according to Saint Mark, Chapter 15 provides a glimpse into very specific moments in the life of Jesus Christ. The chapter begins with His trial before Pontus Pilate and concludes with His burial. Positioned in the middle of this chapter we are introduced to Simon of Cyrene who is made to carry the cross of Jesus Christ. We will enter into that moment with Jesus and Simon of Cyrene and reflect on why that moment is a clarion call to combat the sin of racism.
Current Events Stations of the Cross Welcome to our group prayer with our Current Events Stations of the Cross! The purpose of this prayer is to highlight numerous social justice issues that perpetrate our society in regards to Jesus’ Passion, sacrifice, and struggles that he endured. This is not the traditional Stations of the Cross, but rather a form of prayer that allows us to better recognize the issues in our society and ask for Jesus’ intercession in addressing them.
